MORNINGSIDE BATHHOUSE
The bathhouse design, located in Morningside Park on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, explores the architectural concept of threshold through a sensitive engagement with the site’s existing vegetation. Centered around the preservation and celebration of the park’s mature trees, the project organizes space through a series of visual axes and sectional rhythms that choreograph circulation and frame moments of pause. These spatial strategies not only emphasize the relationship between built form and nature but also enable a diverse range of programmatic functions to unfold organically within the landscape.
